Believe it or not in any god or supernatural force, it is often from Mother Nature that the most unexpected and incredible wonders arise, those that make us believe that miracles exist.

One of these wonders is flowering in the Atacama desert. We are in South America, the far north of Chile. It is one of the driest areas on the planet (50 times more arid than the notorious Death Valley), an expanse of more than 100,000 square km that is apparently fatal to any life form. Yet here, every 7 years or so, nature offers one of the most suggestive shows in the world. It is difficult to imagine that such beauty can exist.
